May be the advance breakthrough in a mean human to communicate each other is internet. Internet as new media for interchange of information does not influenced by national boundaries, time and every part in the world and every people could be connected in touch of their finger tips.Technically internet is connection of million computers worldwide and termed network. These connections are ruled by some interchange mechanism called protocol. The name of protocol is TCP/IP.
Imagine a computer that has been connected to internet initiates an action to browse a site. This computer sends a massage to its server (the other computer which is duty to serve other computers called client to access internet) about the site intended to access for instance www.eeteknologi.blogspot.com. The massage also contents an address of sending computer. The server translates http://www.eeteknologi.blogspot.com/ into the IP number for instance “192.111.111.111”. This is the true address that used by internet. The server than send the massage to other servers around the world and these servers route the massage until the intended computer has been found. The massage in internet network is fragmented into some packets and from this method we know term of Packed Switch Data Network (PSDN). This is a reliable massage transfer. Subsequence processes after intended computer has been found usually called receiving computer, sends a respond or reply to sending computer along other servers. Servers in internet connected world wide and they communicated with same protocol TCP/IP. The massage routed back to sending server and sending server routes this massage back to sending computer. The communication is initiated by some means of request and acknowledgment before massage contained data transferred.
Information interchanged in internet is various like text, image, video and multimedia but the format for this data types is hypertext language markup (HTML). Now internet spreads in meteoric fashion and open new means for us to shared information instantly. This also opens the new business of multimedia world wide.
